Easy Cheesecake Filled Cake

Scooped out cake crumbs and a whipped cream cheese filling is stuffed inside a hollowed out cake creating a “cake-like” I called Easy Cheesecake Filled Cake. 
The lady who shared this recipe, with my mom commented that “it seems like she could eat and eat this cake.”

Although this is not an actual cheesecake, this “cake-like” approach with a whipped “cheese” filling is definitely something different from the typical graham cracker crust cheesecake version.

I made my own cherry filling (which is so easy to make if you have a jar of sour cherries around!) But certainly opt for canned cherries instead.

Ingredients for Easy Cheesecake Filled Cake:
  • 6 eggs
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 6 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
CREAM CHEESE Filling:
  • 2 (8oz) pkgs cream cheese, soft
  • 1 (8oz) pkg Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1/2 can condensed milk
Directions to make Easy Cheesecake Filled Cake:
  1. Grease and line a springform pan with aluminum foil.
  2. Beat eggs and sugar over high speed for 15 minutes. Whisk in the flour and baking powder, moving whisk in one direction.
  3. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes. Cool.
  4. Remove cake from the foil and empty out inside of cake leaving a thick border. Place back into springform pan.
  5. Beat the cream cheese and condensed milk until smooth. Mix in the cool whip and crumbs from cake.
  6. Pack filling well into the sides and inside of the hollowed cake covering the top and sides of springform pan leaving no gaps.
  7. Garnish with Cherry Pie Filling or fresh berries and refrigerate.

  • Pack filling well into the sides and inside of the hollowed cake covering the top and sides of springform pan leaving no gaps.
  • Garnish with Cherry Pie Filling or fresh berries (pipe out border from whipped cream-optional.) Refrigerate.
  • Carefully remove sides of springform before serving and serve chilled.

What size of pan did you use? 8 or 9

The springform pan I used is 9×2.75in. I did spray the aluminum foil with cooking spray.
