BEST Oven Baked Bacon and Freezing Tips

I'm sharing my oven baked bacon and freezing tips! This is the ONLY way I cook bacon now and once you learn how, you'll have fully cooked bacon stashed in the freezer to pull out for any recipe!

Ingredients

Oven Bacon:

  • 1 lb package sliced bacon
  • aluminum foil
  • parchment or wax paper
  • 1 gallon zip-loc bag

Instructions

How to bake Bacon:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Place bacon strips on the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. If bacon was overlapping, quickly separate bacon strips with tongs, while hot to prevent the bacon from sticking.

TO FREEZE:

  • Fold a 15 by 10-inch sheet of wax paper in half and stack about 4 bacon strips onto each paper layer. Place into a zip-loc bag and freeze.

Re-heating instructions:

  • To re-heat frozen bacon place 4-5 strips of bacon into the microwave for 30 seconds.

Notes

Tip: You may also store bacon in the refrigerator until needed, I only advise to do so for up-to a few days then freeze if needed.
To Crumble Bacon: Place frozen bacon strips into a food processor and pulse to desired crumbs.
