This EASY Hollandaise sauce is made in the microwave and is the fastest homemade Hollandaise sauce to make from scratch! Quick and Easy! 

Ingredients

Easy Hollandaise Sauce:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp dijon mustard
  • salt & cayenne pepper to taste

Instructions

How to Make Microwave Hollandaise Sauce:

  • Melt butter in the microwave (about 30 sec.) Stir in egg yolk then add the vinegar and cream and stir until well combined.
  • Microwave up to one minute until mixture thickens, checking and stirring every 15 seconds.
  • If your mixture curdles like this, no problem just keep on whisking until it gets smooth.
  • Whisk in mustard and salt. Garnish sauce with cayenne pepper before serving.
  • Note: If you prefer a thinner hollandaise sauce just add 1 tbsp of melted butter and smooth out.
