This is a fluffy cinnamon rolls recipe that hasn't failed me ever since I started making it. An easy to work with dough is smothered in butter and sprinkled with a sweet sugar mix then rolled and baked into the most amazing and Fluffy Cinnamon Rolls!
In the bowl of a stand mixer, whisk together the hot milk, sugar, melted butter, salt and egg.
Add 2 cups of flour and the yeast mixture; knead over low speed adding remaining flour until dough comes together. Then knead dough over medium speed for 5 minutes.
Cover dough and allow to rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour.)
Whisk together the filling ingredients (sugars, cinnamon and raisins) and set aside.
When dough has doubled in size roll out into a 15 by 9-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over the rectangle and sprinkle completely with the filling mixture (leaving a little border on one end of the long side, for sealing roll.)
Starting at the 15-inch side, roll dough and pinch edge together to seal roll.
Cut log into 12 even slices and place onto a greased baking dish (coated with cooking spray.) Let dough rise until doubled in size and touching each other (about 1 hr.)
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven until golden. Prepare the glaze by stirring together the powdered sugar and water until smooth. Spread over warm rolls.
