This EASY Hollandaise sauce is made in the microwave and is the fastest homemade Hollandaise sauce to make from scratch! Quick and Easy!
Ingredients
Easy Hollandaise Sauce:
1
egg yolk
2
tbsp
butter
melted
2
tbsp
heavy cream
1
tsp
vinegar
1/8
tsp
dijon mustard
salt & cayenne pepper to taste
Instructions
How to Make Microwave Hollandaise Sauce:
Melt butter in the microwave (about 30 sec.) Stir in egg yolk then add the vinegar and cream and stir until well combined.
Microwave up to one minute until mixture thickens, checking and stirring every 15 seconds.
If your mixture curdles like this, no problem just keep on whisking until it gets smooth.
Whisk in mustard and salt. Garnish sauce with cayenne pepper before serving.
Note: If you prefer a thinner hollandaise sauce just add 1 tbsp of melted butter and smooth out.
