This Pizza Sauce Recipe is just like the Robust-inspired tomato sauce you'd have slathered on a Dominos Pizza! It's rich in flavor, thick, and so delicious! I'm thrilled to share this copycat pizza sauce because it really does taste like the tomato sauce from Dominos!
To make pizza sauce: combine all the ingredients into a large 24-quart stockpot
Simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally to prevent the bottom from scorching.
Process in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
Notes
Tomato Juice: is pureed fresh tomatoes. To make tomato juice cook quartered fresh tomatoes until soft then puree with a hand blender or run through a food mill. I used frozen and thawed tomatoes that I drained from excess liquid and pureed without cooking (tomatoes are mushy and soft after freezer.)Canning Tools I own:
Italian Seasoning: I used 2 Tbsp of Stonemill Essentials Italian Seasoning and 3 Tbsp of homemade Italian Seasoning. To make Italian Seasoning: combine 3 T basil, 3T parsley, 2 T oregano, 1 tsp rosemary, and thyme.
