Sausage Gravy:
12ozpork sausage
1/2cupflour
5cupsmilk
1tspblack pepper
1/2tspsalt
Instructions
How to make Sausage Gravy for Biscuits:
Cook sausage in skillet over medium-high heat until browned and no longer pink. Stir in the flour. Pour in the milk and bring mixture to a boil, stirring until thick.
Reduce the heat and continue to simmer for 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Ladle over split open biscuits.

Sausage Gravy Freezes Well: Freeze leftover sausage gravy in 2 cup portions for your next Biscuits and Gravy breakfast! Cool first. To Reheat from frozen: Tear off freezer bag and pop frozen gravy into a non-stick saucepan*, turn on medium heat and close with a lid. Let gravy come to a simmer, stir before serving. *non-stick pan is needed in reheating the gravy from frozen state, it tends to stick and scorch in a stainless steel pot. If using a steel kettle, grease well and simmer over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.
