The ONLY French Toast Recipe I make because it became a family favorite breakfast! Flour strengthens the milk and egg mixture so it doesn't feel like your eating wet and soggy bread and the smell of cinnamon calls out breakfast!
Pre-heat skillet over med-low heat with 1/3 cup of oil. Place flour and spices into a bowl and slowly whisk in the milk.
Add the eggs and mix well.
Dip each slice of bread in the mixture for about 2-3 seconds on each side. Fry in skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side.
Fry in skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side.
Notes
French toast freezes well. Thaw overnight and toast for 7 minutes. TO MAKE AHEAD: Prepare the night before and store in the fridge.Re-heats best in a 400° oven for 7 minutes.
