Homemade drinks are so nourishing! Every September I make Canned Grape Juice, that I stock on my canning shelf for a quick drink any time of the year! Adults and kids love that and if you want to make it sparkling, simply add ginger ale or club soda. It’s wise to keep drinks like Iced Tea, on hand for a cold and refreshing drink for that unexpected guest. In the Ukrainian cuisine Fruit Juices are made from seasonal frozen fruit. Since I maintain milk kefir grains using raw milk, Smoothies are a must!

We also drink Hot tea almost everyday (must be from our Eastern European roots). For that I’ll simply throw a handful of dried raspberry leaves from our garden into a French press and steep with a pinch of dried elderberries. There’s also nothing better than a glass of cold milk to warm cinnamon rolls or chocolate chip cookies. Keep from-scratch drinks simple and healthy by using healthier sweeteners.
