Spring Recipes
Spring is when everything starts blooming outdoors and when the Easter recipes are made. Our spring traditions include making unleavened bread for Passover. However, in Ukraine Paska bread is a staple in many homes. When it comes to enjoying Spring’s delicious bounty, radishes and green beans are plenty!
My favorite Spring recipes, are crepes for many brunch gatherings or desserts, rice bowls, one-pot meals that are transitioning to more light and airy chicken recipes from the cold winter, and grilled meats. Salads and sandwiches with a homemade chicken dipping sauce sound pretty good too. Some Ukrainian Easter staples include this Carrot salad, Olivier Salad (Potato salad), Shuba, and fish recipes like this Baked Salmon.
Soups, vegetables, legumes and grains are all ways to cook in the spring too! Spring surrounds the Passover Holiday with many desserts and gatherings. Make it a family tradition to implement a special dish during these lighter months.
