Preserving Recipes
A homemaker should learn a few preserving techniques. There are so many methods of preserving, such as canning, fermenting, pickling, dehydrating, and freezing. I like to preserve foods by all kinds of methods but mainly canning or fermenting. So, if I need to ferment sauerkraut or make pickles, I’ll grab my canning jars and lids and get those going! Most canning recipes are either for water bath canning (high acid foods) or pressure canning (low acid foods). Find plenty of canning recipes for the beginner or novice canner! From marinara sauce, to canning Dill Pickles! As well as popular condiments like homemade Canned Ketchup. I also love fermenting vegetables and making my own apple cider vinegar. Preserving isn’t just canning, it’s a way to efficiently prolong the shelf life of foods.
All canning and fermenting recipes were kitchen-tested and something Alyona keeps on her shelf (meaning they work).
