I can eat this Russian Pork Gravy from a spoon, it’s so good! Make it with chicken or beef and get ready for some delicious gravy!

I was over a Russian ladies house who happened to serve this delicious gravy and couldn’t get over how good it tasted! I ended up asking her for the recipe. Her version was with water but I ended up tweaking a little, however the recipe still remains delicious! Ketchup really brings out a beautiful orange color and gives a nice boost of sourness without even detecting any in the gravy. Chicken or beef would work great for this gravy but the cooking time will vary. I highly recommend simmering the pork over low heat as that really makes the meat tender. Make this over our BEST Mashed Potatoes recipe and enjoy!

Ingredients for Russian Pork Gravy:

  • 1 (10oz) Boneless Pork Loin Chop
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp flour

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp Dry Poultry Gravy Mix
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

6. Slowly add 2 cups of water, stirring the mixture until it comes to a light simmer; add the salt and gravy mix. Then add the pork and heat through. (Gravy should have thickened slightly and look a little translucent at this point.)

Looks delicious! What brand of dry gravy mix do you use in the recipe?

Thank you Katya! I used the McCormick Poultry Gravy Mix, it looks like a powder and I believe you can find it in bulk at Coscto.
