This Banana Bread Recipe is really moist! Banana bread just tastes better with walnuts and chocolate chips. No mixer required!

Some recipes call for butter, but this banana bread requires no butter. In my opinion, oil is a much cheaper alternative without the extra step of melting anything. This banana bread recipe is very flexible, as you can alter the walnuts or leave out the chocolate chips and skip on the cinnamon or vanilla. It’s a great banana bread recipe that can be changed upon taste or ingredients. But despite its simplicity and flexibility, it results in super moist banana bread!

Ingredients for Banana Bread With Walnuts:

  • 3 very ripe banana’s, mashed
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (opt*)
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon (opt*)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (opt*)

Directions to make Banana Bread With Brown Sugar:

To begin, grease a 9 by 5-inch loaf pan. After that, pre-heat oven to 325 degrees F.

Then, mash bananas in a medium bowl. Farther more, stir in the eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla; then, set aside.

In a large bowl whisk together the sugars, flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Stir in the wet banana mixture.

Then, fold in the nuts and chocolate chips. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for one hour and 30 minutes. In the end, cool in pan then remove.
